Audemars Piguet Rubber Strap Replacement Using Interchangeable Strap System

Audemars Piguet recently introduced an interchangeable strap system for some of its watches. The system allows the user to replace the strap on their watch on the go. Just a strap change can completely change the way the watch looks and feels on the wrist. Hence, a lot of people took advantage of this feature. If you have an AP watch but do not know how the interchangeable strap system works, we are here to help you. Here’s how you can easily change straps on Royal Oak Offshore models that were released in 2021 or later.

  • Press the buttons on the backside of the watch at the lugs to release the strap from each side.
  • Remove the buckle by opening the lock on it and slide it out.
  • Slide in the buckle to the new strap and lock it into place.
  • Attach the straps to the watch and make sure they give a clicking sound indicating that they have been locked in place properly.

It is that easy to replace a strap on a new AP Offshore model. This system allows you to change straps on the go. You can always stock up on multiple straps and easily change them whenever you would like. But these straps have to be the genuine ones from AP. Even if you get aftermarket straps, ensure you get ones that support the interchangeable strap system.

Changing Rubber Straps on other AP models

If your watch does not have an interchangeable strap system does not mean you cannot have some fun with some funky-looking straps. You just need to unscrew the strap to fit in the new one. However, this process can be challenging. Firstly, you need the correct tools for the job. Even if you do get the tools, you might scratch the watch while trying to replace the straps.

Hence, it is always recommended to get a strap replaced though an experienced watchmaker. You can even drop by at ChronoStreet to get your straps replaced at a reasonable price.
